Vintage Sansui 6060 Stereo Receiver - Opportunity for sale in Bangor, ME

1 of 1
For sale! This is a working Sansui 6060 stereo receiver from the early 1970s -- a " golden age" classic. The pros: 1) I have tested only the AUX input, using a small CD player (pictured, but NOT included in this auction) through Mordaunt-Short bookshelf speakers (in the receiver's speaker " A" connections, only) and the sound is wonderful, 2) Pots and all controls sound clean -- no crackles or scratchiness that I could hear, 3) FM and AM both work -- t-strip used for FM and the ferrite AM antenna is in great shape; it even pulls smoothly out of the case, 4) tuning slide control is smooth and accurate, 5) relevant controls (tone, stereo/mono, loudness, balance, filters) all work as they should, 6) front panel is clean, with sharp, crisp lettering, 7) occasional and very minor scratches and scuffs on brushed metal front panel and plastic face that covers the tuning scale, 8) interior (see photos) is clean and presents very well The cons: a) the wood case has peeling plastic " veneer" (see photos) but is otherwise solid and very functional, b) a tuning scale bulb is out on the far right side (you can see in the photos that it's not as bright) Note that other than what I've specified above, this receiver is untested. A sweet example of Sansui's exceptional receivers from this era. I have described this as accurately as I can. It is a used piece of vintage electronic equipment, dating to the early-mid '70s and is being sold AS-IS. Please see photos for best description AND please contact me with questions -- no returns. I'm glad to take specific photos for you or give greater detail, so feel free to ask, via ebay's messaging system. I will ship this through Fed Ex in the lower 48. I will ship internationally only through the ebay international shipping system. Thanks for checking out this listing! Still available at ListedBuy!
