Position is on our Dementia Unit.
Applicant must have their CRMA.
POSITION SUMMARYAs part of an amazing care team, the Director ensures compliance with facility and regulatory standards ensuring each resident receives the necessary care and services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well.
The Director administers medications and treatments.
Reports to Executive Director.
Essential Functions of Director Residential Care Living Ensures the resident receives services as outlined by the plan of care.
Administers DALP ordered medications and treatments to assigned residents as needed.
Follows all steps in administering medication in accordance with all FAH policies and procedures related to medication administration Maintains accurate documentation of all medications and treatments on assigned residents.
Assist with ordering, returning, and destroying medications.
Makes suggestions to resolve problems or streamline the medication system.
Assists with transfers, ambulation and toileting of residents as needed.
Keeps medication cart clean and stocked Reports any change in the residents' condition or other pertinent information.
Demonstrates initiative by seeking and accepting new assignments and responsibilities.
Promotes and maintains positive relationships with peers and residents and works collaboratively with all departments.
Meets the care needs of each resident in accordance with each individualized care plan, reports any changes to supervisor.
Ability to remain pleasant, cheerful, tactful, and courteous at all times.
Observe and report resident condition by monitoring vital signs; recording intake and output; reviewing resident care plan and records patient information into the electronic health record.
Meets residents' needs by promoting the highest level of independence.
Is dependable and demonstrates the ability to follow the attendance policy.
Welcomes and assists in the orientation of all new employees.
Ensures adherence to all First Atlantic professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Ability to cooperate with other personnel and resolve interpersonal conflicts with minimal assistance.
Must maintain information as confidential material per HIPAA.
Willingness to accept suggestions and supervision from a supervisor.
Completes monthly progress notes on assigned residents.
Participate in an established on-call rotation.
Ability to engage and embrace culture change Communicate additional education/training needs timely to Supervisor.
SKILLS and ABILITIES Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience:
Experience with, and desire to care for people, especially those who are older and chronically ill.
Computer Skills:
Must be able to interact with our computer-based Electronic Medical Records.
Certificates and Licenses:
Must have completed training approved by the Department of Health and Human Services of no less than forty (40) hours.
If working on a specialty dementia unit, CRMA's are required to have 16 additional hours of dementia training.
